SEABL Rd 5 Action.
Enjoyed the article above, knocked most things on the head.
I would just like to know how many games have the Pioneers won at home in the last 4 years. It would be a pretty interesting statistic. They have been quite successful at home over the last 4 years and with the group they have now they should be able to advance this further???

My Round 5 wrap of the SEABL can be found here: http://andthefoul.net/archives/5905
Will be putting weekly articles up on AndTheFoul.net, with the focus on some of the NBL guys in the SEABL and some who have the potential to be in the NBL in the future

Nick Owusu still the starting point guard, and having a great season so far. Starting lineup seems to change on a game by game basis which again is the luxury of having such a deep bench. This week their starting five was Owusu, Herbert, Mercer, Wilson and Seb Loader. Last game I saw it was Ash Cannan in the line up instead of Wilson. They have a lot of guys who can play several positions and who are happy to share minutes around which makes for good team chemistry.

They can't go undefeated because they have already dropped one game against Albury in Round 2.

Hard to say this early on, Barrett seemed more dominant last year and stood out a lot more than his fellow import Theron Wilson. But since Barrett's injury, Wilson stepped it up late last year and this year the imports seem to be more evenly matched. With Herbert back as well, Geelong have the luxury of being able to share the scoring load a lot more. I think Mercer is a good player but is playing a different role to what was expected of Barrett.
