Exciting Times for the Boomers
Best of the crop from college this past season were Delly, Motum, Broekhoff, Drmic, Jois, Bairstow and Greenwood.
People quickly forget that Broekhoff was the last player cut from the London Boomers 12!
Also worth mentioning that Angus Brandt would have been mentioned if he did not go down with injury at the start of the season.
The China series is an opportunity for the up and coming Boomers to get exposed to senior International competition, but also those who are close but not quite there yet.
I agree though that we need to try and get as many of our stronger players as possible for the NZ series...

Liche is too small to play an international SG (that I agree with), so why can't he play PG? If he wasn't so valuable to the Wildcats as a scorer he would likely play PG over everyone but Damian Martin. He has very respectable handles, vision, defence, and I would trust him to be a team-first player.
Madgen would likely only make the last spot on the roster as a zone-buster (Peter Crawford-type shooter). Honestly, long-term I'd prefer Ryan Broekhoff over Gibson and Madgen.
Plan for the scenario that Bogut will be injured and Anderson will have retired from international play so you don't get your hopes up.
