They'll prob get imports just cheaper ones than last year. Bring HOMICIDE back! Would spark interest in the team which means $$$!

skull, that would be awsome news if true..neville to cairns..

I know they are hoping to have some things within the club finalised by the end of the week, maybe multiple announcements?

Absolutely. What about that team was that old though?
Norton - 20
Blanchfield - 22
M. Cedar - 27
Crawford - 33
Hinder - 33
Holmes - 30
Henry - 27
Hire - 26
Teys (as an alternative to Cedar) - 22
Average age of 26. That's not old if you ask me. Go much younger, you run the risk of performance problems through lack of experience/veterans to balance the team. I think it's a great balance of up-and-comers and experience.

* Should have said that a 10-8 record would have been good enough for finals had a similar trend been evident in the first 10 games (sorry for any confusion)

@Mick, of course no one wants to see the team start 0-10. Bear in mind though, in a league that didn't change a great deal in make-up over two seasons, the Crocs were very competitive in one (taking Breakers to 3 in semis) and duds the next. Even as duds, they recovered to finish the season 10-8 after the initial streak. That was enough to make finals. And during this time, only imports changed on the roster!
My point is, I think that having most of the team from last year we CAN be competitive with a new coach. And this also suits the aforementioned financial and time constraints of raising a brand new community owned team.

If Reidy said he would re-sign the five contracted, why speculate on it?
I wouldn't be surprised to see Mick Cedar remain as well. He is certainly still active around the club, and fills the spot behind Crawford. Regardless of who is coach, we now need to be even more aware of the financial constraints attached to the roster. If the five contracted stay, maybe we can expect something like this:
Import/Norton
Crawford/Cedar
Blanchfield/(Henry/Hire)
Holmes/Hinder
Import/??
You could always bench Holmes and Hinder and have an import PF, and starting C.
