Breakers considering Lazare as import PF
Stuff.co.nz expect Trumans signing to be announced in the next couple of days along with Darnell Lazare but NZ Herald seem to think Hudson will be coming back.

Did anyone witness Lazare play defence?
Aside from the stupid fouls, missed defensive rotations and goaltending calls, I must have missed it...

Hawks aren't signing an import 4 or 5. It's either a 3 if there's no good Aussie swing man out there. If there is then they will be going for a guard.

Would love to see Hudson arrive in Wollongong and help rectify their rebounding issues

I think the option that he wasn't retained by breakers.was either he was asking for a pay rise and he was injury prone abit last season,Hudson would fit into Townsville or Melbourne easy.great 6th man off bench to rest a big.

Team is better with Hudson
A frontcourt of:
Abercrombie/Te Rangi
Vukona/Hudson
Pledger/Hudson
At the end of the day, an import 4 is going to split minutes with Vukona.
Hudson was perfect in this role.
Only explanation can be that Hudson was demanding too much?
Or
they are trying to fit players under the salary cap and need to spare 10-15k somewhere, and they know that Lazare will play for that smaller amount, but Hudson won't???

I would have thought Hudson with his extra size and ability to match up 4-5 behind Pledger or Vukona would have been of more benefit than as you say an inconsistent 4.

could also be a possability for cairns.

Don't understand why will Hudson wasn't retained, did some good games off the bench.darnell and heal had a lot of problems off and on court.be. A good pickup for NZ

Spurs 117-115 Suns in DOUBLE OT thanks to Tim Duncan (40 pts) who hit a three pointer (first time in 2 years) and Manu Ginobilli.
