Stefan Osborne
I would just ignore the comment Sting, Stef can shoot the lights out, we all know that...
I recall a few years ago he went over to the States and beat their best at consecutive foul shots for a record or something, can't remember the details, but that boy can knock the fly out of a spider's grip!

Good luck to Stef, flying out today for a bright future. His Stingrays team mates will miss him I'm sure...

Jay, I can see your confusion with UPen and IUP. He is attending Indiana University of Pennsylvania not University of Pennsylvania.

Jay, it is a D2 school but it's standard is regarded as a mid range D1 school. They play practice games against Duke, Maryland etc in practice games which is exciting for Stefan to play against elite D1 schools. He is also red shirted for season 1.

Thanks HO. Yep - I just answered the question raised.
I have never said anything negative about D2 ball or schools. I think any opportunity to live and breathe the sport that you love whilst obtaining a college education is second to none, and in most cases you can't go wrong.
As pointed out, there are many D2 schools are superior to some that play D1 hoops. You just have to look at the out of conference schedules for D1 hoops - they often also play D2 schools and sometimes lose!
Personally, I am just more interested in following D1 basketball in general, and of course all the Aussie playing in it.

Great news by Stefan. The Stingrays organisation is wrapped to see him take the next step which excites a lot of the juniors at the club and give them belief that they can do the same thing.
In regards to LC, he didn't expand on the answer of D2 school... It came across as negative.
Agree with some D2 schools are better than D1.
Some stats from IUP that seem impressive.

No it's not entirely unusual. Sometimes the offers coming out of Y12 or the USA version may not be to your liking or do not actually eventuate into anything firm. The player may opt for a Grad-Program year which can be had at many of the academies. The academies usually cater for all ages and have their own teams.
