allocating a goalie in u 12/14s
What kind of "coach" would do that? Obviously one that has no interest in developing their players and is only interested in padding their own ego. Disgusting "tactic"

I have seen it used at a social level by a team that wasn't all that fit. Leave a player in the key, play the 4 man offensive structure and take their chances, then if the other team gets a fast break the "goalie" is there to either slow them down, or deliberately foul as they drive. Bank on the fact they can't shoot FTs. By rotating the "goalie" it means the fouls are shared around.
