All SEABL clubs return letters of intent for 2014

I would actually like to see four conferences in the future, to entice extra teams to participate and get the SEABL looking ike a mini NBA, on the face of it...

Years ago

The South East Australian Basketball League can advise that all 16 teams have signed Letters of Intent to participate in the 2014 SEABL season. The following teams will participate in the 2014 SEABL season:

· Albury-Wodonga (men & women)
· Ballarat (men & women)
· Bendigo (men & women)
· Brisbane (men & women)
· Canberra (men & women)
· Dandenong (men & women)
· Frankston (men & women)
· Geelong (men & women)
· Hobart (men & women)
· Kilsyth (men & women)
· Knox (men & women)
· Launceston (women)
· Mt Gambier (men)
· Nunawading (men & women)
· NW Tasmania (men)
· Sandringham (men & women)

SEABL can also announce that as part of its bi-yearly review of the conference structure, the following changes are slated for 2014:

· In both the men’s and the women’s competition, teams will be moved across conferences in order to achieve more equitable competition.
· The men’s and women’s teams from the same club may no longer be in the same conference. Regardless, the men and women's teams from the same club should still have the same fixture and travel together on away road trips.

*** As expected, good news on all fronts, with an interesting note on the cross conference idea for next season...

I would love to see more innovation and the SEABL continue to develop and improve, because I believe it has a future and the noise at the moment is positive, good stuff so far! ***
