Rupert Sapwell

Yea dench would be ok, but i'd prefer moore cos of his shot blocking!
And if it is tru that cat has left we should definatly be able to afford Farley, Moore or Dench and Rees, i would also love sapwell back as our 10th man to bring some leadership and hustle off the bench! and he's probably better than most abl players anyway! so i'd take him or they could try for another young guard eg. wilkey or bell, my team would be
PG Maher, SG Farley, SF Holmes, PF Rychart, C Moore or Dench 6 Nash 7 Forman 8 Ng 9 Rees 10 Sapwell that team could definatly bring home the title in my opinion its basically our last title team with moore in stiffs spot and rychart in garrisons spot along with the improvement of holmes, i reckon its the strongest team we've had for a while! and of course if Rogers wanted to come back and were to accept the money u would offer to Moore or Dench i'd take him over them! but not if its gonna cost us mor money

I am actually slightly excited just at the thought of Farley / Tucker and Moore.

Whilst Derek rejected the Suxers (no typo) first offer, hopefully a revised, upwards, bid would convince him.

I have reason to beleive that we could expect to see Farley in town within the next 2 weeks, but that source hasnt always been reliable in the past.

Wonder how far back to NBL can push from a financial view point.

An NBL season would need go ahead in conditions where Australia is “on top of Covid” and then they could probably have a month of front loading home games in states with COVID “eliminated” - you’d be looking at SA, WA etc.

We were close to that ~ a month ago, and now we are in a far more devastated position. Obviously you can only control what you can control, there is no certainty so all you can do is be agile.

Crowds are so fundamental, we couldn’t have teams losing too many home games out of the situation. Financially the league and players need the season to begin it can’t keep being pushed back. To that extent we may see that combination of pushing the league further if necessary til February and then a month of games concentrated in the non hotspot states.

I think Rupert coming off the bench as a 3/4 would release Nash to the 2, and allow Oscar to play the 4 and rotate thru the 5 with Reesy.

I think he could be crucial, provided he can fit cap demands, in helping blood the youngies.

You would have to say that Rupert would have to be a target of the 36ers.

He would be a great signing as he can play various positions, guard post players and provide good leadership.
