Chris Goulding receiving NBA Interest

You are forgetting this is the boomers and not Spurs. There is no luxury of Parker. I believe you should play your best players the most, and that means starting Mills. Delly is good and will most likely play point until exum is ready for international ball. Delly has shown(abeit only 2 NBA games) he can effectively mark a good shooting guard from the other team. I prefer to get off to a good start then to rely on a player to dig you out of a deficit. If we had Bogut fit, would you want him coming off the bench to provide spark on the defensive end? i doubt it.
Whilst you need to consider rotations, realistically we don't have any international standard scorers other the Mills atm.

MACDUB, personally I would like our best national player and scorer starting tbh.

Goulding stands a very good chance of playing for the Boomers at the next world champs.

If he stays healthy, keeps playing the way he does and improve his DEFENCE, there is no reason why he shouldn't not only make the team, but also start for the Boomers.

A Dellavedova-Goulding guard lineup with Mills off the bench would be exciting.

Two great shooters, with an exciting and explosive player coming off the bench to provide a lynch-pin for the second unit.

John Paxson?

I think Goulding's injury proneness would be more of a concern than his apparent lack of athleticism, height or doubt over his willingness to play a role... Lets all hope that if he makes it to America his body holds up over there!

One last thing, isn't it amazing what a good haircut can do for you, to think he was walking around like Tommy (3rd Rock from the Sun) for all those years and he is now being touted for the NBA...

Love your work Bubbles!

Not understanding the negativity... How many of you make out that there is 10-15 bad teams in the NBA?

I think Goulding has the charisma to wow a coach and make a roster and well I can't see him not making the most of circumstances and getting game time in the NBA!

Could Brett Brown be looking his way?

As for 'could Goulding be a role player in NBA/Boomers'... Um pretty sure he wasn't the Blaze's best player and was behind Harvey whilst there and he is clever enough to adapt to any role a coach could give him and all power to him... I hope he kicks arse!

Lastly if Gold Coast were still alive, how tough would they be right now with Goulding, Wortho, Petrie, Useless Gibbo, Caddee, Teys, Harvey, Garlepp and a couple of 2013/14 calibre imports WOW!

should the commentators now refer to him as an NBA player now?

The comparison with Rex Chapman was a stylistic one. Nothing was said about him being as good as Rex Chapman was.

It's great to see another Aussie getting some interest from the NBA. As much as I'd miss seeing him in the NBL it would be great to see him make it in the USA. Will he make it? Who knows but good on him for getting on their radar. He's improved a hell of alot in the last couple of years.

From a fan point of view, selfishly I don't want him to leave the NBL. But you can't keep a good man down!

With so many aussies in the NBA more and more kids are going to pick up the game knowing that they have a chance to play in America.

Good times for australian basketball ahead. Hopefully it works out in medals.
