Southern pick up Ball (Adelaide) all ages.

The Townsville Fire co-captain has been the standout player for her team all season and was awarded the Nivea Player of the Week title after their double-header in Canberra on the weekend.

Despite Townsville falling to the Canberra Capitals 76-64 on Friday night, Cox was the leading scorer on court with 25 points. She also grabbed 6 rebounds, 2 blocks and 2 steals in her effort to give the Fire the win.

On Saturday the league-leading scorer (with 22.6 points per game) recovered quickly for another top-scoring effort in the Fire's 80-52 victory over the AIS with 22 points, completing the double-double with 10 rebounds.

Honourable mentions included Cayla Francis and Tracy Gahan from the Lightning, plus Lauren King (ex-Lightning, now Spirit) who had 19/4/5.
