Coach Pop - gotta love his honesty

"I think competitive character people don't want to be manipulated constantly to do what one individual wants them to do," Popovich said, according to the Express-News. "It's a great feeling when players get together and do things as a group. Whatever can be done to empower those people."

Pop says it himself - he's empowering his players to make decisions. He's showing trust in his players and allowing them to be part of the process, rather than just being dictated to - when things are going well and when they're going badly. Terrific leadership imo.

What Fearne did was publicly call out three players for criticism, saying their performances were below par and team success was riding on their performances. That's not empowering anybody.
