It's coach of the year, not most improved coach.

Wright had a far better roster than Gordie, and as I've said half a dozen times now, 'better than Marty Clarke' is an awful low bar.

COY: arm wrestle between Joey & Gordie.
MVP: Ennis might pip out Rotnei Clarke. It's easy to get it when you're in a talented team. I feel Clarke has lifted those around him and that is a sign of a leader. Ennis's job has been easier with talented guys making the path easier.
Defensive: Damien Martin or Darth Flopper. Ogilvy was strong early, but first half performance compared to second half performance is like there were two players.
Best Sixth: Gee. Creek would be up there. Wagstaff most likely. Wilson played as a sixth, but as an import should he count?
Most Improved: There's about 6 guys who could pick up this award. Even Oscar could be in the mix. Tommy Garlepp would be unlucky if he's not in the top 3. Tomlinson has had a great year. I think "Bubbles" will get this one.
ROY: Another hard category. Mitch Young would have to rate well.

I feel Gliddon needs an award somewhere. Sam Young as well.

Would like to see Rusty get some recognition by the NBL after a stella career. When he goes, who takes the title of Leader of the Elder Statesmen of the NBL? Forman (392 games over 13 seasons) Holmes (379), Corletto (369), Ballinger (311), Vukona (303), Redhage (295), Davidson, Wortho (252).

Would have love to put Ennis as MVP but if you took Goulding out of the tigers team they wouldn't make finals but you take Ennis out of Perth they would still be in the grand final
