BSA Rescheduling Fri 11th games to Support Sixers

SA Junior Championship Rules:

"6. Player Eligibility
All players must be registered with Basketball SA.

"For a player to be eligible to represent a club or association, the player must have played in a minimum of 3 games in competitions/tournaments either representing the club/association or run by the club/association, in the period since October 1
prior to the Championships.

"Players that have played a game in division one of the current Junior District season in the three rounds prior to the Championships, will be ineligible to play in a Reserve grade."

You were close, but not quite correct.

I doubt many (if any) division 1 players would be playing in division 2 or 3 to cover injuries, especially this early in the season. But if they are, they wouldn't be disadvantaged (see above).

The round 1 matches for Mavs and South teams may not be rescheduled prior to State Champs - not sure why it is assumed they would be.

The number of players attending the 36ers game can't really be determined until tickets are sold to members and the general public. BSA is simply providing families the opportunity, which I'm sure many till take advantage of.

"Don't forget the the postponed games (round 4) will potentially cause all sorts of problems with qualification for junior champs with players possibly playing div 2/3 in round 4 and missing out on div 1 for JC. How is BSA dealing with the complications?"

1. Why would a division 1 player be playing div 2 or even div 3 in the lead up to State Champs?
2. Why does the postponing of the round specifically cause these players an issue?

"With Easter, school holidays that makes it three games in total before the junior champs."

3. Actually it's 4 games, which is the same for everyone. What's your point?
