Is there any team that makes a profit in the NZBL? and why arent the other teams doing so well?
name a well known american import that nz fans will flock to go and see this season? sellouts every where he goes?
where are the highlight reels ?
it barely makes the news ? few games on youtube ? crappy streams ?

Well, The Rock, your not the guy funding the team. Or the guy working behind the scenes trying to sort the finances out.
They care. And its crucial that they care.
"highlight reels come and go"
Plain wrong. I have seen some of the nastiest plays in the NZNBL.

idont care about the marketability factors
nz fans cant afford to buy season tickets or the team jerseys
or anything that really pumps up the league. small stadiums ,
shorter players, highlight reels come and go . we have Abercrombie he does a great job of being athletic

and the ANBL isnt Americanizing itself?

Yeah, I think American imports are also favoured over Australian imports for reasons of marketability.
An American with crazy athleticism, springboard hops and the ability to finish highlight reel plays is going to draw crowds in.
An Australian who is effective and gets the job done, but does it off layups and FT’s is not going to sell as well as the American.
The NZNBL has always relied on ‘Americanising’ itself – NZ Basketball fans know America is the mecca of basketball and there is a sense of ‘awe’ when an American comes in.
Australian imports have being and will be just as effective as American imports though.

3 games today.
Wellington Saints 89 Corey Webster 29, Lindsay Tait 21, Elijah Obade 14, Dion Prewster 11 Canterbury Rams 79 Matt Rogers 24, Glen Dandridge 19, Richie Edwards 16.
Manawatu Jets 82 Paul Jones 33, Arthur Trousdell 12, Jeremiah Trueman 10 Taranaki Mountain Airs 74 Adrian Oliver 30, Suleiman Braimoh 16, Aaron Bailey-Nowell 12.
Waikato Pistons 85 Corin Henry 20, Akeem Wright 17, Casey Frank & Zac Carter 12 Super City Rangers 75 Duane Bailey 18, Eric Devendorf 17, Tai Wynyard 14 (He's 16!!!), Christoph Fahrensohn 10.

would like to see more ozzy players having a go in nz
if they arent up their backsides
its a tough league

great to see high scoring game to open up the season and overtime was a bonus
hawks legit?
or the saints missing a few pieces?
