The OP is asking for great import duos, there have been some clever posts and it's always nice to take that rip down memory lane.
@Anon #489023 I think you need to stop drinking that Methylated Spirits mate!
@Lucy - we love you long time, that's is funny to read...

Doug Overton and Melvin Thomas were a pretty decent import combo for the Hawks. Still remember one of Mel's first games where he took off from outdide the key near the baseline and dunked!
And as we all know Doug went to the NBA. I'm pretty sure he came out on a similar 'program' as Ennis - an NBA team wanted him to get some pro experience.

Paul, I think Canberra got knocked out in semis by Melbourne in 1996, but they had a great import pairing that year.
Having Leroy Loggins (arguably the best NBL player ever) & Al Green (won the bay sheffield & was a scoring machine) in the same team is hard to beat.
Mark Davis in his prime was seriously scary and pairing him up with anyone was tough but with Bill Jones would have been one hell of a challenge for other teams.
Perth recruiting players to stop this pairing was one of the instigators of the Perth / Adelaide rivalry, which is all set to continue tonight...Go 6ers!

I remember watching Canberra Cannons in 1996 who had Rob Rose as an import and thinking their new unknown SG import looked like a better player.
Canberra's import pairing that year of Rob Rose and Darnell Mee was fairly handy and would have to be up there in any best import pairing discussions.
