Pondexter is a guard , dandenong desperately need a big not another guard the import was a tall makes no sense at all to replace Cambage who is 6'10 with a 5'9 guard who's 32 yrs old, surly their were better options

Possibly should have kept the import he had and told Monica Wright to stay in USA, considering she's already injured, and from all accounts the other import was very good.

Well there goes lave us chances of actually getting on the CRT again this season, and she's signed for two yrs

Big V competition is a far cry from WNBL. Hegge struggled throughout the season but agree, her last game in the finals was fantastic and easily her best for the season

I heard a little rumour Poto could be turning her hand to coaching, not sure how true but don't think Flames have a coach yet do they ?

Bigger money in Europe and she was not a standout player really very inconsistent for dande last year, and couldn't get a gig in wnba, so a wnbl club was never going to pay her big money , Europe is a far better option for her.

Well Done Waves, good to see some quality signings. Tomlinson and Holly Smith would be handy.

Waves are not exactly a deep team though are they

Lynsey moores stats are not impressive, so may not be that much of a pick up, averages 1.4 PTS per game.

Shaping up to be a very good season that's for sure

Who's Lynsey Moore??!!!!

Mijovic at Dandenong would be a disaster. She's so far up her own backside it's embarrassing. O'Hea must be counting her blessings.

Mijovic back at dandenong would just put more tension on what is likely to be a very ego filled roster

Sorry but why does bishop get special treatment or people expect her to get special treatment, regardless of how she became a parent, no other employer has to find child care for their workers, they find AND fund their own. This is after all a job bishop gets paid to do, her choice, no one is holding her arm behind her back to do either.

With the line up the rangers are getting expect tension and fireworks all season lol

Shame to hear of players doing ACL injuries they take them out of the game for so long, regardless of who it is.

^ agree re Romeo

Think Romeo has a rep for bringing too much maintenance with her

Hopefully Sarah Graham is the first of a few good signings for the waves, need to chase a point guard and a quality big now. Maybe BWA has increased the player budget for the Waves, heard it was previously the same as a SBL team. If you spend more money BWA on quality players you will get more people to the games.

475440...... Lucas bullied her............ Why is it coaches always get the blame when players just don't cut the mustard in the team lol

It's a shame WA does not have a team in the WNBL.

And then there is that Paul, yes never all a bed of roses here is it mate?

I guess at least the WNBL is seeing some more positive press with these signing rumours, however I appreciate the prompt having forgotten about them going under...

Years ago

Kudos to the WNBL, they appear to be flying while at the men's game, the NBL appears to be flandering...

All these big signings at clubs is going to make for a strong competition. Waves to struggle again and have started to announce their signings.
Garbin good young talent and will be a good player, Amos back up point guard, Fielding bench/squad member.
Don't know if Doccy is going around again, but she couldn't be their marquee signing this time around.
Waves need to start signing some talent so their games aren't treated as a bye.

Wonder where or if Mitchell will sign, can't see pederson coming back, most spots are filled unless she comes back to rangers but as a 3/4 which is apparently what she plays in America not the 5 that she played past season.

Liz cam bag is going to dand so it's not her, Ljubljana to Canberra so it's not her, suzi batkovic is already signed so who's left for Aussie bigs , we don't have that many ?

Cunningham won't come back to rangers she left because of wright why would she return if he's still there

The Crowvertiser reported it was unlikely that Talbot would be back. Team looking like:

Marino / ? Mansfield
Novosel / Lewis
Foley / Screen
Summerton / Langford
Bunton / Import?

Who's looking good for DP spots?

Years ago

" Bunton said - she was looking forward to new experiences in Adelaide after playing all five of her WNBL seasons in her home town.

“I've had a great time playing in the ACT but I felt it was time to try new things and the Adelaide program is going to be a great fit for me,”

“I know I've got a lot of work to do, but I want to make a big contribution to the Lightning and make sure I continue to improve so I can be a long-term member of the Opals squad.”

she is finally doing a Nat Hurst and going and playing outside the ACT - She will now get off the training meat roundabout of the Capitals "local development" program and after 5 years of riding the bench ( more in Hurst's case) finally get with a coach and program that will teach her how to play in the big leagues.

baring injuries - she will be a big cornerstone for the lightning for quite a few years if it goes well.
