Un 19 gems squad for next camp released on BNSW
Agree smith is an outstanding athlete that has had injury after injury, but think you will find she will be a big part of the un19 gems, I'd say Sherf , Smith, Wallace, Antoniadou, and Frolings will be the main stay of this group for worlds. All consistently strong good athletes well locked into their playing positions.

Surely there were more than 7 top age players available to choose from in Australia. What about Meiking she's a definate 5

Smith is not a strong C at all, not compared with Sherf, but she's an excellent 3/4 very mobile and great shot

They must win Oceania first to qualify for world, the team will be picked for that tournament in Fiji from sept camp, so going off the list frolings are not even on the list. Though Wallace is but asterisk next to name to say un available for camp but obviously available for selection for Oceania, unlike frolings or Fareo. Smith is by far a stronger 4 than Froling and Fareo,so I'd replace her into the starting 5 in the 4 spot over anyone else. Sharp also out for camp due to injury. So reading from this list it looks possible that frolings may not even be available for worlds should they qualify,if this list is the full squad? Hope that's not the case as they are strong players. But this college business certainly puts a clog in the works !!

I seriously don't think the absence of the Froling sisters will cost them finals. But yes it would have been handy to have them. They have Sherf and Smith who are equally as efficient in fact I'd say more so than the Frolings. Alicia had a reco on her wrist/arm and is out for a while. Keeley had reco on knee and is also still out so neither would have been available for oceania even if they hadn't gone to usa.

Rocci isn't in the mix for this next group and compared with the likes of antoniadou Wallace and Pirini, is not quite up there yet, but good little guard and think she did well at un17s, although bit turnover prone. Sherf and Antoniadou will be a better pairing than Wallace and Sherf only due to the fact they are team mates at Dandenong in both SEABL and WNBL, plus Vic un20s, and with Larissa Anderson as coach it would be fair to say she would be working on these two with a likely match. Shame frolings aren't there as then yes you'd have Wallace and frolings to play with too. But at least you have good ball handlers in this group for guards which can only help the others who end up at the camp with them.
Interesting list though not many in the top age group at all.

484697 .... hahaha points for dribbling id have to agree

Antoniadou has the ability to create and bring players into a game looks after the ball really well and can shoot from anywhere especially the 3 but doesn't look to shoot first which can be a downside to her game.
Wallace can create her own shot though does get a lot of turnovers from her passing which could be combination of receivers not ready and bad passing but dynamic player just the same.
Pirini is a great passer though takes too long to make her mind up has good mid range shot.
Tupeua not what id call a point guard. Bit too slow and takes way to long to get organised after watching un17s

No Frolings are 96

They will be at college in USA so to Kristy Wallace but think she has negotiated with Baylor to allow her to play which is what was being said re all the men going to USA college unless they make prior arrangements then you may not see them in the men's un19 squad

It appeals to my sense of humour that one of the biggest moments in history, all the tv coverage, hyoe and ceremony were all for naught.
Obama had to redo his Oath later on behind closed doors and out of the public eye after it was shown that they messed it up first time round.
