coaching panels 14/15
Bruce, sometimes coaches can't commit to the upcoming season, but head coaches should be appointed and known well ahead of time. It shouldn't necessarily be about the coach, but the programme. It's like a school. It's not about the individual classroom teachers, but more about the programme the school has in place.

Sorry anon if I didn't make the point clear (and nice rant by the way), I think a well organised and managed club would make its coaching announcements with pride so those willing to put hours of time and effort into volunteering are on show for all to see . I have faith in my club to make coaching appointments it would be great to get them out there imo.

Announcing your coaching panel before trials should be a given and would certainly give the impression that the club is organised and well prepared for the next season and if nothing else would prevent the speculation amongst players and parents - turning up to trials with no clue who is coaching - ridiculous !

I think coaching line ups as well as the general committee / club feel drives the club culture.
Let's not forget coaches are volunteers who give their time to the club.
I would say to anyone who is unhappy with the coaching line up or the culture at their club to be proactive about changing it.
Just on Norwood though, who have been copping a hammering, in the boys Div 1 and 2 boys, their average ladder position is 5, in the girls Div 1 and 2 girls, they have an average ladder position of 5.25. When you consider those stats, they may not be #3 behind Sturt and Forestville any more.
