36ers Season Launch
we had members day! big turn out hardly. plus the ark is on the other side of the city. its like eastern side drivers driving to west lakes to see football. #toohard

A wise man once said, if you always do what you have always done, you always get what you always got!
Shit Club.

The Season Launch was more of a singlet presentation and was open to everyone, but maybe not over-promoted in a manner that would satisfy. Club members could attend at a cost, and I think the sponsors got a complimentary ticket.
It was actually a good night. Brett Maher was a very good MC and the crowd was putty in his hands. The team was introduced and "Creek Dogg"s new number explained (5 for me, 5 for Dad). The singlets have a new supplier this year (ISC) and look pretty slick with some embossing on the back which added a dimension (sounds more like a Milan fashion review!)
The cheerleaders should be popular again this year, and the players look pretty sharp and fit. A couple of seasons ago they were over muscly, but this season expect a vert fast paced entertaining game.
It was evident the team is a pretty tight knit group this year too

The Blaze did plenty wrong in their time but one great thing I always enjoyed was the season launch. Platinum members were given free tickets to the launch night (as were all sponsors) and lower level members had the option of purchasing tickets if they wanted to. Was a cocktail party set up and went for a couple of hours. A great opportunity to actually mingle with the players and staff away from the court and was always fun.
To hear that the Sixers this didnt open this up to members to attend is just bizarre.

Look, its clear that cheap is essential, the additional cost of 30 emails to those with season tickets emails would have been exorbitant, and no - my tickets were not in today's mail, but that's OK, envelopes are expensive too.
