R5: Crocs Vs Breakers

agree with your comments Mick re: giving up so many baskets from trying to trap the PG from made basket inbounds plays.
Cedric would either pass through the trap or beat it & then pass off to Ibekwe for another dunk almost everytime.

To the anonymous stats poster - I think you are getting yourself confused? You certainly confused me.

Using your numbers-

NZ were 32/58 - so 26 misses.

NZ grabbed 9 offensive boards - leaving 17 misses.

Crocs were accounted 12 defensive boards, leaving 5 unaccounted misses.

That does not seem so unreasonable.

so who won?

Years ago

It was terrible yesterday, literally missed out on a quarter of the game. Sky Sport will be tearing them a new asshole for the shitty feed.

Years ago

Crowd looked good and sounded excellent. The new Croc sucks, but hey they are still in the competition.

Years ago

Nah not from Sky. We get the NBL Tv feed (quality isn't the best).

So when NBL Tv isn't working, Sky sport just shows an apology message.

I can't imagine Sky Sport NZ would be happy with NBL Tv.

Years ago

So the feed is from Sky?

Years ago

Yep. Lost a quarters worth of coverage on Sky Sport over here. Frustrating.

NZ up 73 - 66 with 4 + mins to go. Those 24 people look like a lot more.

Years ago

Yes good on them for making a lot of noise.

Just sad..the fall from grace.

I remember when Crocs had Rillie and then Williams and the swamp used to be absolutely rocking. Miss that.

Years ago

Nz playing pretty well so far

Years ago

About 24 people in the crowd.

The seating is so dark..is this done on purpose to hide the empty seats..i can still see them anyway.

The two rows of seating on the baseline makes it feel like an amateur game.

Gladness might not play due to a finger injury

Odds: Townsville $1.86; New Zealand $1.94

Should be a close game this one. I think given the way they beat Cairns, the Breakers should ride that momentum to a win over the Crocs. Let's hope more than 1,500 fans turn up to the game...

Breakers by 5.

Preview: Breakers to complete Sunshine Swing against Crocs

David Andersen has put together two of arguably his best ever Euroleague final four performances as his team Regal FC Barcelona officially finished third. Andersen led his team with 24 points on 6/6 2PT and 3/6 3PT shooting in a semi-final in a 78-82 loss to his former team CSKA Moscow. He also 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 blocked shot in 34min in a fine performance on the biggest stage ion Europe. Recap: http://linky.com.au/cbdk9 In the playoff for third against Greek team Olympiacos, Andersen led the way yet again in a fantastic 95-79 win. Andersen led all scorers with 20 points on 5/7 2PT and 3/5 3PT shooting to go with 4 rebounds in nearly 26min on court. Recap: http://linky.com.au/ewmpe Draft Express have also recounted their highlights on players of interest for the NBA. Draft Express Recap: http://linky.com.au/uwqdw It was interesting to read DE's thoughts on Australia's David Andersen: "Also deserving of a quick mention is the outstanding play of David Andersen, who looked particularly motivated going up against his former team CSKA Moscow, who he decided to leave this summer. Andersen scored 24 points in 34 minutes, going 6/6 inside the arc and 3/6 from outside, to go along with 4 rebounds and 2 assists. Andersen, who weve believed is a sure-fire NBA rotation player for a number of years now, put his entire offensive arsenal on display, scoring on tough post-up moves inside the paint, some beautiful turnaround jumpers, by attacking the basket from the perimeter, making a handful of 3-pointers, finishing pick and rolls, and converting on pick and pop plays. It was a very impressive display, and would make a DVD that Atlanta Hawks GM Rick Sund would be wise to get a hand on." Could Andersen finally be headed to Atlanta to play in the next NBA season? Atlanta should sure do with him IMO as a genuine backup forward.
