Tess Lavey's WNBL minutes?
Fully agree ^

People comment Lavey did well at worlds. Seriously? I think everyone's expectation was so low that they were surprised she didn't tank. But what did she actually contribute? All she did was make the next pass in offense. She didn't shoot, didn't create ( would like to see her assist stats). Who couldn't do that?
Defensively, she might be fast but she is small . I love the testing is used as the reason she made the team but can she actually play the game? Who would know because she hasn't played any minutes for he last two seasons in the WNBL. and when she does, she turns the ball over. Cole smashed her against the Boomers earlier in the year and Harrower took her off and she ever appeared again. Probably why she got ZERO minutes in the Boomers v Spirit game on the weekend.
Joyce needs to step up his selections but he is so stubborn to prove himself right and everyone else wrong that he will probably make he same dumb calls. let's see where he lands after Rio......

Some excellent candidates for guards coming through for the future in Wallace Antoniadou, Lavey,Wheirung think these 4 have a long way to go don't think any of them are anywhere near peaking and all physically very fit and hard working.
Few others are either going to be too small, too injury prone or not ever going to be fit enough for the future years of women's basketball.
But back to initial question, maybe bernie harrower doesn't think like Brendon Joyce

what about the kid killing it at Baylor. Kristy Wallace think her name is ..would you take her over Lavey?

well If he values defense then Jarry's performance at the worlds would cross her off that list.

the original team was;
Rebecca Allen
Natalie Burton
Elizabeth Cambage
Laura Hodges
Rachel Jarry
Leilani Mitchell
Erin Phillips
Belinda Snell
Penny Taylor
Marianna Tolo
Cayla Francis
Tessa Lavey
Francis was a late addition because of injury.. who does she bump out?

Locks...
Phillips/Mitchell
Taylor/Allen
Ohea/jarry
Jackson/Francis
Cambage/tolo
2 others from
G Madgen, ebzery, cole, Clydesdale, Lavey. Wallace? Barr? Panousis?
G/F Kunek, Talbot, Blicavs.
F/C bishop, burton, Tomlinson.
No way would you look to take the likes of Clydesdale, Wallace Barr or panousis they are way off the mark, Wallace would be the only one in years to come out of that group, but madgen, ebzery, cole would be better candidates right now than Lavey, but bet you anything Lavey gets the guernsey
Kunek and talbot would be strong contenders, he's already ruled out bishop, and Tomlinson is still to inconsistent and injury prone, he loves burton though.
Joyce will take what he personally likes, not what's best for the team and when it comes to guards he has a particular type, don't think he will add Mitchell to next opals group somehow, but it is good to see new blood in these opals ranks

Brendon Joyce is the only one who can answer that as everyone else is left scratching their heads lol. Their were other players for sure, but he likes Lavey

Lakers up 1-0 after a game one thrashing of Orlando. Can "Superman" Dwight Howard lift his team to take out game 2?
