R15: Kings vs Taipans
Two games against Adelaide still remaining and Sydney being the only team, so far, that Adelaide hasn't beaten.
Adelaide back on track, Sydney still not convincing and Melbourne yet to pull it all together consistently. Each game at the moment is like a best of 7 staring contest between Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney.

One of my predictions was right - a 4 point Cairns win!
A polished performance from Taipans big man Matt Burston has given his side a massive boost in the race for the regular season premiership as the Cairns Taipans were triumphant over the Sydney Kings 80-76.
Cairns eye top spot with victory over Kings
Is Sydney still in with a shot of finals? They quite possibly face the toughest road-home double in the competition- a trip to New Zealand before coming home to host the red hot Adelaide 36ers.

Just when most punters had the Kings written off like a 16 yo kid on a bender in his father's drinks cabinet, they spoil the party in Townsville. Tonight, they back up for the road trip from hell. Getting two wins on this road trip is a bit like Tony Abbott getting back to back election wins.
Cairns are in fine form and have been the quiet achievers this season. Their finals ticket has been clipped and fans should be booking the necessary annual leave. They are no out of Minor Premiership contention either so that will be one goal on the whiteboard. The Kings are by no means out of the finals race, but need to make a stand tonight to stay in touch.
Sydney sealed the win with a great 2nd qtr, but lost the second half to Townsville. Were they keeping something in the tank for tonight? Let's hope so. It's 1 all so far this season and with so much to play for, this will be a great game.
Sydney need to come out the blocks early and come out hard. I'm going with the fresh legs of Cairns to take this in what should be a nail biter finish.

The Australian Under 20 and Ivor Burge Championships are to be held in SA in Feb 2010. Any word yet about exactly where??
