I would say all the other states if they too wished to organise a trip like this could do so. Similar trips are done by schools, both sport s hools and other schools, and what they do there depends on what the organisers want to do or the CofE have time for. My kids school did a tour, funny thing was mine was already up there at a camp.

Some parents get a little over excited when kids go there on one of these trips especially when it's a pure basketball group as they read way too much into it.

Selections for CofE are not done on these tours, they might allow an extra look at some kids but selectors usually already have what they are looking for on radar and check them out at tournaments.

Great experience non the less for any that get the chance to visit

This was just a trip not a selection, it was to show the kids the facilities and daily routine of the CofE, to see really great facilities they need to take them on a tour of the USA colleges, which I think is happening later this year. Compared to the college facilities in the top div1 and even the lower ranked ones, the CofE has very little considering it's supposed to be the best Australia has to offer.
Sad really but when the government does not put money into sports it's hard to keep up with the best in the world.
