R1: New Zealand vs Townsville
Breakers played ok in patches.
It was great to see the big Pledgehammer playing and he made an impact at both ends of the floor in his limited minutes.
Abercrombies offensive touch made a difference as did his rebounding and defense.
Charles Jackson looked like he was enjoying himself. Missed a few he should have made and made a few he probably could have missed. Rebounded well and got up and down the floor well.
Bartlett & TeRangi shot the ball a lot better this time.
NZ can at least build on that performance. The effort was there in regards to rebounding and defense. They just need to tidy up on the passing.

Must admit, even know I am a Breakers fan I am much more excited to see the Hawks Melb game.
IMO Breakers aren't too exciting this year.

New NBL team coming in next year. St Louis Alumni Rams:
Jett
Lisch
Ellis
Conklin
Rob Loe

Why does Conklin never get called for hooking? He gets away with it quite a bit.
I see a noticeable improvement in Bartlett's game. He did have a tendency to push the issue/take ill advised shots. Now he seems to calm down take his time and pick and choose his moments - felt like in the past he was trying too hard to establish himself instead of just playing within the offence.
Losing Markovic was huge for the Crocs. They'll miss him badly. Everything that they need right now..he has.

I love that grey design, looks great. If theyd known jordair was joining the team they should've gone with black though. It's more slimming apparently.

On the close-up shots it's not too bad, so I'm not as worried for the players as I was at first, but the normal wide view for the tv audience is terrible with the colour similarity

Worthington’s efforts were nothing short of amazing in his two games this round. The man known as ‘Wortho’ hit some huge shots against the Breakers which helped the lower-seeded Tigers rally from a 17-point last quarter deficit to record a stunning 94-89 road victory. Worthington finished with an impressive 27 points on 10-of-15 shooting and also added eight rebounds, one assist and one steal. He hit 3-of-6 three-pointers, one of them coming at a crucial part of the game and sparking the Tigers’ monster final period run.
His form carried over to Melbourne’s next game at home to the Adelaide 36ers. Worthington was again nothing short of outstanding, contributing 24 points and six rebounds, 14 of those points coming in the first quarter. He shot 7-of 15 from the field and made four shots from downtown. His three blocks on defence further demonstrated his versatility on both ends of the floor.
Worthington’s teammate Chris Anstey also came very close to snaring the award in Round 16. After an injury kept him out of the first half of the season, Anstey was back to his brilliant best as he joined Worthington to help extend Melbourne’s win streak to a season-best four games. Anstey’s 24 points and seven rebounds against the Breakers, which included three successive three pointers in the final three minutes, helped the Tigers to a crucial road victory. The seven-foot Tigers star and former NBA player also had 17 points and nine rebounds against Adelaide on Saturday night.
Other players in consideration for the weekly award in Round 16 included Ayinde Ubaka (Gold Coast), Tony Ronaldson (New Zealand), Kirk Penney (New Zealand), Adam Ballinger (Adelaide), Damian Martin (Perth), Darren Ng (Adelaide), Anthony Petrie (Gold Coast), Glen Saville (Wollongong), Cortez Groves (Adelaide), Rich Melzer (Cairns), Julius Hodge (Melbourne), Dusty Rychart (Cairns), Luke Schenscher (Perth) and Matt Campbell (Wollongong).
Anyone disagree with this selection?
