After a scorching season in the Turkish League with Besiktas, Brad Newley is looking to secure a place on a Euroleague team, and that team is now rumoured to be with Lithuanian team Lietuvos Rytas who is coached by the legendary Rimas Kurtinaitis.
Fellow Aussie Aron Baynes is also currently on the team roster and Matt Nielsen played for them before heading to Valencia.
Lietuvos Rytas just won the Lithuanian national league title and has qualified for Euroleague next season. With Newley puiblicy stating he wanted to play for a Euroleague team, the rumour linking with him with the Lithuanian team for next season may well prove to be true.
