Add a quality PF? Trey Lyles looks the goods already as a good backup to Faves, and also a good option as a stretch 4 with Faves moving to C in a smaller lineup.

Hayward's Real +/- is 27th in the NBA, and adds considerable offensive value if for no other reason than the Jazz struggle to score.
His salary, while excessive at the time he was signed, won't be such a burden either once the salary cap balloons.
The Jazz need more PG production, which is difficult when Exum, and Burke is struggling to make the transition to the NBA.
The Jazz have a young team, plus Gobert, Burks and Favors have also missed a significant number of games this season: they're doing well, all things considered.

Sabonis is not a centre. He's listed at 6'10 but is probably closer to 6'9.
Add a quality SG/SF and PF? Hood is developing into a very good starting 2/3 and Favors is one of the better 2 way power forwards in the league.
Hayward is certainly not holding the Jazz back, in fact, the Jazz are SIGNIFICANTLY worse off without him.

Get rid of Burke.
Add an uninjured exum and burks..
Add Another quality centre from the draft... 6'11 Sabonis predicted on mock draft.
Add also a quality sg/sf and pf you'll have a much better team.

Two games isn't a very big sample size.
They won two in a row with him (@ Sac and v Wash) before beating Cleveland and Phoenix at home without him - then today's loss @ Chicago.
Long bow to say they're better with him out.

Scratch that, only checked boxscore didnt realise he actually played. To answer the question, your team is always better with Haywood in it than not. What you pay him is another story, but he is a very solid basketball player. When his shot is on song, he is as hard as any to stop. Gets the crowd in to it.

They lost today without him. Really weird time to start a thread like this.
