Daniel Kickert signs with Bullets for two years
Jervis to Brisbane. Take it to the bank

Jervis is contracted with Perth. He took up his option.

Bairstow would be an ok NBL player.
I hear Jervis to Brisbane.... Would compliment Kickert at both ends of the floor. I imagine Petrie would come off the bench to give Kicks a break or they could both play together against some lineups. Throw in an import big and thats a solid group of 4 & 5's to work with.

(That was me)
If the rumours are true about Gibson Petrie and Craig. That a good start in terms of the right balance alongside Kickerts finesse.
Those 36ers guys bring ticker and grunt, and do the dirty work. And Craig is a strong, athletic rebounder in the 3 spot to have alongside Kickert at the 4.

Kickert is overrated. Not worthy of his All NBL selection.
Great shooter but too soft- his lack of rebounding and inside D was one of the main reasons I was sceptical of our ability to beat NZ when it mattered. And my worries turned out to be well founded.
Good player but Bris better get the right players along side him to use his strengths and negate his weaknesses

Another close season of ABA. In the women’s draw, nine teams are still in it with 5 teams fighting for 5th spot. In the men’s draw, the field has narrowed to 7 teams and top spot is wide open.
Panthers-Bearcats @ Tin Shed
M: Westies are on top of the table and will be looking to stay there. Panthers just looking to be a pest for the rest of the season. Davo with an easy 42 last week should expect to be tagged this week. You need to be pretty fit to keep up with the old fella and I reckon he’ll be starring as the big bad wolf. Bearcats should stroll in and out.
W: Another easy game for the Westies girls this week. Panthers need to win to keep the finals chances alive, but might find it hard after this round. Westies in straight sets.
Flames-Warriors @ Mars
M: Warriors have been a surprise package this season and are up against a very formidable opponent. Flames burnt the Sabres last week and although Warriors will be looking to keep their finals hopes alive, will fall victim to a superior outfit.
W: Warriors part of that logjam for 5th spot. Flames have more ins and outs than a bookie. A full strength Flames should roast the Warriors, but without a few key players might offer a glimmer of hope for the Warriors to slip into the 5 if results go their way. Who’s playing this week for the Flames?
Sabres-Mavs @ “Summer Hgts High”
M: Lots of talent running around court in this game. Sturt don’t like losing two in a row and while Flames stitched up Sabres last week, this week Mavs should be stiched up.
W: The Sabres are likely to put the Mavs to the blade this round. Big numbers will be bagged by Tess, but the end result may be four losses in a row after Sat. night. Probably MOTR in the women's draw with the Mavs not going down without a fight.
Lions-Rockets @ Siberia North
M: Everyone is expecting a Rockets win, but they have been inconsistent all year by losing games they should have won, then beating top teams. Lions have offerred promise at the start of the season, but have been left in the blocks. Could be an interesting game.
W: Rockettes out of 5 and would been keen to get back in. They will hit the Lionesses hard this round and looking to seal the W early.
Eagles-Tigers @ Wayville Waterworld
Hopefully no rain on Sat night, it would be embarrasing having all those mops on court and refs with snorkels and flippers.
M: Tigers men are woeful at the moment, Eagleboys are out of their mid season slump and should be serving up a Tiger pizza on Sat night. It’s a long drive home after a loss.
W: Eaglettes setting the pace in the women's side and with the Tigeresses in the 5 and needing a win to stay there, will need to show why they deserve to be there. A suprise Tigers win will make things interesting.

If rumours are to be believed then it's Kickert and Petrie so far.
Not bad. Not bad.

Will remain satisfied with the alleged signing of Kickert if the Bullets can put a legit rebounder beside him.

tongue in cheek @Train.
Perth news reporting Melb are chasing Jawai hard. Today Their big signs with Brisbane, adds a bit of weight to the news story.

Majok off the bench i guess. Finally Melbourne getting some players that can rebound!!

Channel ten Perth said that Nate Jawai was being chased hard by Melbourne United!
Are Majok Majok and Jawai too similar or would they never share the floor together?

AngusH- Thats the reason why the United will never win a Finals as they will continue to change their roster every year instead of keeping most of their core.

So Anon, are you implying that LK is improving one team he owns and ruining another that's brand new, and this is beneficial to him? The height of stupidity some might say

Yes it was simply a suggestion by me. If the Bullets are not going after Motum now, and he is currently playing alongside Randle os, then why not.

Mixed feelings. Was our most consistant, reliable offense but never saw him jump for a rebound.. Be interesting to see who we get at PF.. Hopefully Majok Majok will start at Centre.

Motums back to Adelaide??

Nice signing but yeah, having a big like Kickert forces you to go a certain way for your other big. TBH I didn't see him leaving Melbourne, and thought they'd bring back most of the core. Might do them some good to be a little less one dimensional though.

That would mean no motum to bullets id assume
Good signing as long as they have a real center next to him

Must have cost a pretty penny as he was on a marquee deal wasn't he?

Nice addition. Wonder if Adelaide will do anything any time soon. Or joey going to wait to checkout Vegas and then bring back duds he could've gotten from Adelaide? That is some nice Aussie talent to get on your roster!

This might start the dominos falling. As teams miss out on their early preferences, they'll start locking in those down the ranks.
Brisbane must've offered a bit because I think Kickert had a strong enough season with Melbourne to warrant making him a priority re-signing.
