In the event draw released overnight, the Boomers will square off against Asian champions China in their first game at the Stankovic Continental Cup on Wednesday 28 July at 7:30pm local time before what is sure to be a packed and hostile crowd at the Liugang Gymnasium in Liuzhou, China.

The Chinese are ranked as the number nine men’s team in the world by basketball’s international governing body FIBA, just above the Boomers in 11th.

In Game Two, the Boomers will face off against powerful European team Slovenia, who are ranked 20th in the world, on Thursday 29 July at 4:00PM local time.

Australia will then take on Iran (ranked 21st globally) in their last preliminary game on Friday 30 July at 4:00PM local.
