Simmons and McRae make Summer League 1st team
The same pundits that picked him going late first early second round? No one saw him going at 10.
Cannot wait to see what he does when he comes up against Lebron or Boogie. Will be wishing he was beating up Canadian high schoolers so quick

Anon 591879, Thon was actually the best guy the Bucks could have picked at 10. He is potentially even better than the Bucks' Giannis.
After Thon's impressive summer league performances, many nba pundits actually believe that Thon was actually a "steal" for the Bucks at No 10.
Thon should have been a top 3 pick.

" As stupid as someone that thinks he is going to be a star based on some summer league garbage? Turn it up. "
Gus, summer league garbage? These guys Thon played against are all nba rookies or nba fringe players who are no doubt too good for the nbl. Your sour grapes attitude towards Thon is disgusting.

Im definitely pumped for some Thon Maker action, but you're very naïve to believe he is a lock as the best guy the Bucks could've picked at 10, just yet. Its summer league, there is not travel, there are no massive crowds, no star players etc etc Hang your head in shame for jumping the gun so soon! Hope he ends up being legit, but also hope he ends up not hitting that rookie wall as well!

"Those who said Thon Maker was a bust
look very stupid now !
Hang your heads in shame !"

I truly hope he makes it, but the jury will be out for a few years. He will get his opportunity though.

Go back and look at what Adam Morrison did in summer league and then what he did in the NBA before saying that

Pretty sure Cleveland picked up their team option for McRae. I assume that means he is part of the 15. I think the active roster is 12 players, so it would help him make the real team.

Yeah, that's one thing I noticed too. He will take the more difficult option, because it will look better. He's good enough that he still makes it work, but against actual NBA level defense, he will need to dial it back and take the easy option more often.
Plenty to work with there, though. Yes already a well rounded player.

It is, but he needs to bring it back a little bit in the regular season... Always opts for the highlight pass when sometimes the simple pass is enough. I caught a couple of games (as painful as Summer League is to watch) and he probably had twice as many great passes as terrible ones, but still, something to work on.

If you haven't yet watched them, check out Simmons' Summer League highlights. His passing in particular is excellent.

After playing the majority of game this season at Morphettville and Marion, all the finals are being held at either Port Adelaide or Hillcrest; what logic is behind this?
The finals schedule for the Wednesday night competition is a disgrace and is a farcical indictment on the way the competition is conducted. Why bother to divide the competition into north and south if all the finals are conducted on one side of the city, at the furthest stadium, which doesn’t even have a regulation size court!?
Granted Wayville is out of action however BSA must get their act together and change the nature the competition is run.
