Hawks sign import SG Marvelle Harris

Struggling to see how Coenraad is a better player than Ellis, but each to their own.

Harris will start at the 3. Can't see why he would sign here to play off the bench if had offers from Europe. Whilst too small height wise, he's quite solid and has a 6'7 wingspan.

The only question facing Bevo regarding who starts is whether Kay or Ellis begin the game.

Coenraad is a much better player than Cody Ellis but the writing appears to be on the wall after he was said to have explored other options in the off-season and only re-signed with them late and only for 1 year too.

Injured Adelaide 36er, Nathan Herbert , has undergone successful surgery on his damaged knee yesterday in Melbourne.

Nathan said in a text message to the club last night " bring on rehab!"

The surgery proved that there was no other damage to the knee other than the already known ruptured ACL.

Nathan is expected back to Adelaide within 2 weeks to initiate his rehabilitation under the guidance of the 36ers medical and fitness staff.

The 36ers are trialing centre Sam Harris tonight and on Sunday to cover Nathan’s position. The 36ers take on the Wollongong Hawks tonight in Whyalla and then will play to the sold out crowd at Starplex, Gawler on Sunday. ( Tip off 1pm)
