On the plus side, all of Croatia will now be barracking for the Boomers. LOL

Yeah, it's dangerous playing a team twice, but I was hoping for Serbia over Croatia. The way we've been playing we should be pretty heavy favourites, but there's more pressure playing for the guaranteed medal than there is playing for a quarter final knock-out, too, and I'm sure Serbia are real happy to get another crack at us.

I don't like that they get a second crack at us.

But hopefully we smoke 'em by even more this time. And we get to see all 40 minutes of it on FTA TV.

If we play anything like we have been lately we should win this semi final. I think we have too much foot speed at guard for most of their guards and too much skill and size inside. Anything can happen, they're sure to put up more of a fight than Lithuania, but I think we should go into this as favorites right now.

We have the advantage inside I think, something Croatia couldn't quite get over the Serbs but something we should be able to exploit better.

What a game. Croatia- close, but it wasn't to be. Serbia- a worthy opponent. Deep, tough, disciplined.

They'll be physical and try to wear Delly and Patty down.

But if Delly and Patty can keep playing like they have been, and if Baynes and Bogut can win the inside battle against Raduljica etc, then the Boomers will get this.

Well, here we go, let's avenge that loss by the Opals and knock the Serbs out in the semi-final!

If we have to choose an opponent, Croatia would be the one. They run a short 8 man rotation and play their stars big minutes. They're more likely to get worn down by an Aussie full court press/trap.

Yeah we're in for a fight regardless of who we play.
So hopefully this one stays close all game. Preferably 3OT close.

Watching now, yes ugly early but I think they will warm into it and this could be a great game in the end.

Whichever team wins I rate our chances pretty highly, however either Serbia or Croatia know our game and theirs are not dissimilar so I expect a tough encounter in a couple of days time...

Hope the US get through to the final to meet us. While of course a gold medal is still a gold medal no matter who you beat I think it'll mean more against Team USA.

Hard not to think that the brackets now suit the Boomers about as best as they can. The #3 team is gone. US cop dangerous Spain.

Our next opponent is either a team we've already beaten, or one who went 3-2 in the other pool.
