WA SBL 2017
Perry Lakes Hawks is pleased to announce the appointment of CJ Jackson to the newly created High Performance Manager position at our Club.
President Karl Hombergen said “As a club we have a very proud history of helping players along the path to State League, National and International representation and we see the appointment of CJ as an important step in continuing the work of Club greats such as John Gardiner and Rick Morcom.”

They've officially announced it now, been official for a while just not announced

confirmed via Facebook.
Willetton are making some big moves. Watch this space

so basically this is a rumour still as Perry Lakes havent made any announcement yet.

Neither but I've been told by various people around the league that Parsons will be at PLH in 2017

Please tell us just how you have come to know this. Are you a Hawks person or a Parsons confidante? Loose lips sink ships - not usually the Hawks way.

I wouldn't be surprised if Nix is the Slammers cosch, I can confirm Parsons will be at Perry Lakes next season

Heard Nix isn't coaching the Hawks, with his connections with Bunbury, Hickert, Cranley and Richardson, is this why we haven't heard anything from the Slammers?

it was the womens import that had the most $$ problems with. Budget for both teams was only over by about $1K

Every other club gets minimum of 2 x imports.
That is worst case.
Sometimes 2 x imports plus paid Aussies/NBL player.
So something doesn't add up here for Cougars not to be able to do this.
Cockburn didnt pay the imports this year, so what is stopping them getting 2 x more again in 2017?
Sure they may have got lucky with the quality of Lane and Goodes, but if they managed to get 2 x this year im sure they can do the same in some capacity next year.
I heard Goode left some overhead costs when he left and put a few people out but what would that be?? Worse case $1000-2000??
Considering he wasnt paid by the club 2k should not break them and stop them getting 2 x imports back this year.
Airplane costs, find them a place to stay (club family), let them referee etc there is always a way.

Has anybody actually thought that maybe Cockburn do not have the $100,000 it costs to have imports and maybe the new board are just doing the right thing for the club?

yeah im sure they will try to save face now by throwing everything they can to him instead of just making resources avail to the last coaching group.

Tough gig for Nener unless they are going to provide him some resources.

Adam Nener just announced as Cockburn men's coach

Cougars , slammers and hawks coaching processes done?
Tupea obviously still the coach of the Eagles. So does anyone believe lackovic won't coach redbacks this year?

SVL played a decent GF, but for the majority of the year he was very average.

Sounds like he kept you out of the team.

DT was better off the bench this year. Only reason why Van Lit started. Otherwise he was a spud all year

SVL started in the GF. Parsons valued his contribution throughout the season.

Lackovic hasnt actually signed a contract yet

LOL Van Lit isnt important to Cockburn at all. He ws lucky to make the team last year.

The brother imports gone from Flames? They seemed quite effective the few games I saw.

Can somebody clarify that this nows means you can play for 2 clubs in the same season without a clearance - i think that should be looking to implement across board to torrens valley and maybe church clubs to have such arrangements would certainly interest partivcipation in district comps - i think SA Uni already have in place. with players entering at original club fees but actually joining 2 clbs good value and allows more flexibility.Wouyld think BASA keen to dev this connection and tap into wider bSKETBAl commiunities
