In another article about the 36ers-Hawks game and aftermath, largely reflecting on the genius that is Gordie McLeod, Boti calls for the starting line-up many 36ers fans have been wanting to see since the pre-season. Johnson starting in the paint and Ballinger at his natural power forward.

"Yes, that was a set play," 36ers coach Marty Clarke confirmed of Adelaide's first attack which saw Craig Winder go low, post-up Ervin and comfortably score over the top of him.

We never saw that play again when probably it should have been milked, Winder 0-of-5 from outside and 6-of-20 overall.

Adam Ballinger had just nine shot attempts - he hit six - but continuing to play him out of position is fraught with the peril of more of the same.

The time may be upon Adelaide to start Daniel Johnson at centre, move Ballinger to his preferred power forward spot and either gamble on Jacob Holmes at small forward, or take some lumps with Brad Hill until Mitchell Creek is ready to rumble.
