Australian Emu's 12 announced!
Having met Adam and spoken with him a few times recently, I am impressed with him as a person and a coach, he will go a long way IMHO.

Great coach. Got it done as a player and now leading our elite youth and young men.
Good values, acts with integrity and great knowledge on elite hoops and what it takes to succeed.

What do people think of caporn coaching emus?

Thanks Mark for that last comment...
NSW Country were National Champs at 16s and 18s.... so you'd expect to see a few of them in this squad. 3 of them have spent time at the CoE so have had plenty of development there.
Malachi has been entirely developed in the private school and NSW Country systems, so it's great to see him get this opportunity. Hope the team get the job done.

Who actually picks these teams?

Emus will match up just fine against the Kiwis, the team has enough size and other bigs were left out for the selected players who know the system best. Those not available are exactly that, not available so forget them and just wish those playing the best,

Waardenburg off to Miami.
Same uni as vasljevic and Gak.

waardenburg from NZ can play big time, one to watch

Probably went back to Canada.
Might struggle to make the squad if we qualify.

Men will have a tough time qualifying with so many overseas based players unavailable. Here's hoping they have enough firepower to beat the kiwis

Kyle Bowen's stats from this years 18s nationals
leading scorer and rebounder for the competition!
he is a 2 year player so not a bad stat to building a bio!

A good prospect is he?
What is his bio, what position would he play and who would he replace?

I thought Kyle Bowen from WA might be a good prospect but obviously not good enough

Just dawned on me as I am reading number of threads below that many aspects of basketball in this state can / could be improved but seems that a lack of will or parochial attitudes prevents.
Time for an independent inquiry - to get structures better.
