NBA DLeage vs overseas league
The big advantage with chasing someone from (or who would otherwise be in) the D-League is money.
Even the lowest paid import is probably making more than he would in D-League.
Whereas we'd struggle to compete with what Europe pays.
The other thing is trying to KEEP those players. You need a big hook. Ideally you want guys who fall in love with Australia, like the fact that we are very similar to the US, but on the whole a bit safer. Or somebody like Randle who said he rediscovered his love of the game playing for Joey.
Quality wise, I think somebody like Prather is ideal. Good college background, made all-conference, spent a year in the D-League. He's obviously still chasing his NBA dream, but seems to like it here, and either isn't quite good enough or isn't interested in Europe.

Straight out of high school Look no further than Terrance "One Dunk" Ferguson. Hahahahahahaha

Casey prather also

A college player with a full 4 years in a division one program, preferably with Final Four experience is IMO your best bet.

Coach Nate McMillan on Monday evening said Patty Mills will likely start at point guard for Tuesday's home game against Steve Nash and Phoenix.
AWESOME, as Patty Cakes says PAY THAT!!
