Re: - PeterJohn
the Perth player being out of court means he becomes part of the out of bounds area. So the ball's interpreted as landing out of court when it hits him. Since it rebounded off the Illawarra player, Perth get to inbound."
Soo, if i step completely out of bounds on defense, and then touch the ball that the offense is currently dribbling, then the ball is out of court after being touched by a part of "out of court" and thus with the offense being the last in bounds player to have touched the ball , it become my teams' ball ?? -- I think not..
But I could be wrong - just quote the rule to me and I'll accept your view as correct.

Jervis was a huge fan favourite in Perth, so we were all sad to see him leave, and Perth would no doubt be better off had he stayed.
And yes, had he stayed I think he would have eventually cemented a bigger ("starting" role) but not in the short-term.
Irony is that with Perth going a different direction with McKay, Jervis would have had a bigger role to play even this season, but he couldn't have foreseen that. It was known that Cats were either going to keep Jawai, or use the 3rd import slot to get another Centre.
I ASSUME that eventually the plan was for Knight to move to the bench, and Jervis to start alongside an import PF.
Reality is though, that in the NBL, even one year is a long time. Jervis got offered better opportunity and he took it. Had Bairstow been able to play a full season, it might not have turned out that way.

Taking off Clarke and Forman with 4 mins to go and letting Perth go on a run yet another Beveridge masterstroke. FFS.

I think the ball touched the Hawk player while he was out of bounds? Foot on the line perhaps, so Perth ball?

" the rebounded ball first hits the perth player, who is NOW out of cort , and the call is to perth"
The Perth player being out of court means he becomes part of the out of bounds area. So the ball's interpreted as landing out of court when it hits him. Since it rebounded off the Illawarra player, Perth get to inbound.

Bit of a worry when Oscar was 5/5 threes and Perth were still within a bucket.
Some concerning turnovers and an especially costly slip in discipline from Ogilvy. He should really look at any way to remove that aspect from his game.

Great game to watch, well done wildcats. Right behind you coach Gleeson out coach Bevo.

Jervis had won 2 titles, maybe he wanted a different scene?

It is hard to believe Perth had Jawai, Knight and Jervis last season. Watching Jawai and Jervis going at it you only imagine what other teams had to deal with when you throw Knight in the mix as well.

Yeah, so good to see so many guys step up.
Big Game from McKay.
And yeah, hard to draw too many conclusions from one game, but it looks like DKD stepped up in JJ's absense.
Cannot wait to see a backcourt of Damo and Cotton.

Brandt made some tough buckets tonight, don't get the hate

Brandt is handy depth guy IMO. I feel like his contributions have been improving in recent games. He's tough to stop once he gets a low catch, which hopefully he will be able to do more often once we start getting some guards back.

Yup.. Take Wroe out and put Bragg in. Bragg gives the penetration we've been screaming for. With him, Martin and Cotton, we should look a different team. They will bring Knight and McKay back into the game.
Really not been a big fan of Brandt, although maybe a penetrating guard can show me what he's capable of too.
At the moment he reminds me of Tony Ronaldson - before he was useful.
DKD also showed his value today. Want more.
For the record, I never thought JJ was right for this team, and don't believe he should have been brought back. But I do think circumstances made the decisions difficult for management.

DKD was big and deserves minutes. Take wroe out of the rotation when cotton is ready.

After a nervous start, I thought Gus Brandt was very good tonight. Good signs for the cats

And earlier tech not on Gleeson, was on Matt Neilson for entering court to tell the other 2 refs that the other wasn't ready

Tech was for abuse by AJ. Foul was for a grab on the rebound, Hawks were in the penalty, so (it's not hard to work this out) 3 shots and possession.

Well bugger me, our coach has finally worked out a partial solution to our poor outside shooting had been on the bench the whole time, give Dexter a chance and you can see what he can do. Sure he will have a couple of brain fades from time to time, but right now he is our best option.
It looks likes we still have a pulse, if only slight, must really annoy quite a few on here :)

Cats look much more balanced with JJ gone.
No doubt he was a well liked, hard working player with some skills.
But DKD filled his position splendidly tonight and the cats looked better for it.
With Cotton coming expect less minutes for kenny and no more Bragg or wore.
Hopefully DKD gets some more burn or he'll be looking elsewhere.

season. Great win and happy New year to all!

you can hit 20 threes, the one that matters counts! All heart and balls! That's been missing all

^he got fouled + a tech

Is no one going to mention Kernich-Drew and his big 13 points? Trevor finally gave him some minutes with Jaron gone and it paid off

Also suck it Wagstaff haters

Don't write them off just yet, can never underestimate the mettle of the reigning champs. Well done Cats.

Considering how bloody close the season is, there's no way you can write anyone off (except Brissy with the 2 devastating blows)

Pelicans and Cats won
What a great birthday present for me :)

Perth did a lot well in their loss to Adelaide last wee. They were up going into the 4th.

Put marto and cotton into this lineup and maybe the defending champs are done with yet

'What a win by Perth. did not see that coming'
My feed is delayed. Game rekt
:(

JAMEAL!

What a win by Perth. did not see that coming.

I'm pretty sure Lachie says Ha-Wildcats

Ha-Wildcats!

So will DKD get meaningful minutes now Trev?
