Great day dirty wortho calling it quits. God riddence"
can't use spell check ? - product of deficient school system or 2nd generation product of FAS/ARBD ?
So sad, - really - should not judge the victim - just hope that they get the support they need.

Wortho been great for all the clubs he's played for, he's owed respect not slagged off by some posters that never played at any decent level.
Good luck in your future wortho.

NZ hottest ticket in the league? loool

Great day dirty wortho calling it quits. God riddence

Wortho to retired at the end of the season confirmed.

Hawks, United and Taipans are all 2-3 in their last five. The superior win-loss records of the first two make them a much better chance than Cairns.

Breakers and Perth are far bigger threats than Cairns. And I wouldn't be writing United or Illawarra off after one weekend.

Nobody wants to be in the finals except the Sixers. Go NZ in the next game to really up the weird factor

Taipans are a genuine threat along with Perth and maybe Breakers with Abercombie back. Hawks and United are done

lol Hawks

So glad a Cairns game didn't get decided by the refs. Can't handle the sooking from their fans.

Why the f*** would you not foul sooner

2POINT GAME

Cairns choking down the stretch
Who would have thought

Now the Hawks are going back inside and its working for them. 4 easy lay ups (one of them a dunk), plus a 3 from Ronti and its now 71-64.

only two minutes for Tony Mitchell. Fearne mustn't like him

And just as I say that, the Hawks go inside for an easy layup as Cairns was defending the arc.
And they've done it twice. 67-53. But then Cody Ellis puts up a brick from outside that stopped the momentum.

Cairns 65-49 in front with just over 2:15 left in the 3rd. Illawarra are slowly starting to fall into the "jack up hopeful 3's" trap that teams get into when they start getting too far behind.

LOL what a RUBBISH league...
Finding a competitive close game in this league is like trying to find a needle in a hay stake.
What do you have to do to get a close game in this league?
1 close game out of every 10...what a great league...

If Cairns can pick this one up, the Sixers will be the only team above .500 this season. Pretty crazy when we're 16 rounds into the season.

I have been an avid fan of the Lightning for many years so in no way am I one knock one of my favourite teams when they are down. From my observations this season the players and coaches are working hard and like any other national league team believe they are doing their best to perform; no one goes out to play at that level not wanting to win. One thing I have noticed that is disappointing has nothing to do with lack of skill or ability but the attitude of a couple of the players. Eye rolling when being subbed, not wanting to listen to the coach in time outs/when being subbed, yelling when umpire decisions don't go their way etc. This surprised me greatly and feel that there are more appropriate ways to build a team and I feel that the talented players (particularly the more junior players) deserve to be surrounded by positive role models.
