Multiple imports at state level
Pakenham is country as all the juniors represent Vic country not Metro

Saying Latrobe is only 1 hour from Metro is a stretch. Your met boundary must be a fair way out. It's a comfortable 2.5 hour drive to the Melbourne CBD.

Did Warnambool have Sobey plus two imports?
Fairly sure Shepparton have two again this season...then teams like Warrandyte have none. I would think having two restricted players in Div 1 is OK, as long as one is Austalian..

Anonymous yes that makes a great deal of sense to get rid of the largest basketball league in the country. Good thinking Einstein ha ha.

Big V is a crappy arse league anyway. Run by a bunch of clueless self absorbing individuals. Let the league die!

Latrobe Men last year two imports. It's only 1 hour out of metro so not needed. If it is go to D2.
Warnambool Men. Imports and Sobey.
Werribee D1 women about to have Rohanee Cox and want two imports as well.
It's getting beyond the joke. The imports should be used to help you get over the top and get to the next level. However they shouldn't be needed just to be able to field a relatively competitive side.

Imports in divisions below scm has become a snowball effect, 12 or so years ago no teams really had any , besides a country team here and there. The year Sth pen brought out Ben k.....(can't remember full name) and went from mid pack to undefeated premiers , other teams started to follow that model, and you have what we have now, where not having an import is almost the exceptional circumstance.
There should perhaps be a tiered system, 2 in scm, 1 in d1 and 0 in below?

I thought only one restricted player was allowed in Div 1 and below, although I believe you can get approval for more than one restricted player.
Who are you talking about specifically?
