Kyle Adnam to NZNBL

Yep I agree that he should be. Was just not communicated that way for some reason..although people are allowed to change their minds!

Why in god's name would you want a 23 year old reserve guard to "rest" over the offseasons? Bulk up, OK, but surely he should be playing about as much basketball as he can, against the best opposition he can.

A bit interesting. Was reading some comments from the new Kilsyth coach just today that he was expecting to have Kyle, but that he was using the off season to not play and bulk up a bit. Someone is telling porkies.

Coach Clarke says the groundwork has been done for progress next season. This is good, as there has been zero improvement this season from last.

Coach Clarke has had a season to:
1. Evaluate the playing group he largely inherited.
2. Instil his ethos upon the club.
3. Begin learning about how to coach in a club environment rather than an institutional environment.
4. Begin learning how to coach and manage professional, mature athletes.

Next season I expect to see:
1. The implementation of the lessons learnt this season in regards to coaching and managing professional, mature players.
2. The recruitment of a dominant centre, preferably Australian.
3. Recruitment of a bigger team overall, preferably targeting South Australian talent.
4. Structured rotations.
5. More recognition of player strengths and weaknesses with more structured plays.
6. An obvious development of the young players within the group over the off-season (This is Coach Clarke’s area of expertise – let’s see the results).
7. Better coach & player recognition of what is required in certain situations.

The following season I expect to make the playoffs...
