Was thinking the same thing what the. Barrett was one of the few shining lights in the Warriors womens season, and she had been leading the voting all through.

Coaches decision I think - I can think of one guard in the Northern conference men under the age of 20 who blitzed towards the end of the season, picked up an MVP for one game at the Medal night even, who wasn't looked at.

The proposition for seating was to have seatign from wayville go to Pasadena. How can u possibly get it in there for one, and the agreement between the Horticultural Society and the Forestville Eagles (as rumoured) is that the seating remains in the stadium for the dog shows.
Great cause, bad planning.

I hope to get there....unfortunately my work hours aren't conducive to me getting to the Dome before the weekend to get a ticket......

Forget all the negative comments, I dont think those people would be happy unless it was the Michael Jordan / Scott Pippen era Chicago Bulls playing their full strength ABL club.

I think it's brilliant people like yourself have even taken the time and effort to make this All*Star weekend a possibility, much less an actual reality.

Well done, and here's to a mega succesful weekend.

I just think there are some players that don't get the recognition they deserve and others such as Bauer who play 5 games for the season, but is the only name known by people who don't follow the comp. It is a great idea though and i am sorry if i offended you.

The two all star coaches of each team in each conference chose the next five, so what you heard was a lot of hot air. I provided a list that they could choose from and told them they did not have to keep to that list...the choice was their's.
How differently do you want to do it? I'm open to suggestions.
For a first time I think we have done a pretty good job, true there are anomalies, but nothing is perfect. Sorry if I'm getting defensive, but a lot of people have put in time (their free time) and effort into this weekend and all are just looking for a success by a lot of the baskeball population showing up. Remember, tickets available from BASA

what about the second five though? i thought that was picked by the coaches? i heard a few coaches wanted other players in the second five but didn't get much of a say? i did vote about 50 times and i voted for oscar every time, i think he's great. it doesn't mean anything to me anyway, i just think if they do it next year it should be done differently!

The public votes 'confused' - and from what I can see, there's 1 player from every team.

Nice to see a team that finished 4th and 5th have more guys in the all star team than the championship team... Who's coaching again???

South ladies were not available due to them having a club dinner that night. The othet three were included by their repective coaches and from that time until the voting closed their situations changed. Phillips is injured, Hill and Flanagan were going to be here. It would have been nice to have them but by your statement I feel that you are putting down the rest of the teams. You can only play what is available and to try and please everybody is next to impossible.

Again, it is a well known fact that the imports would not be available from the sixers and there are some away on international duty (sixers and lightning). You can only do that much with the opportunties presented to you.

Take the weekend in the spirit it is presented - a festival of basketball - with a majority of players participating.

Who is left to play for the sixers considering also that there is an Olympic Games happening at the moment and the imports are probably not available either. The same questions above also apply to the Lightning team.
