Agree with koberulz. Not saying that LBJ is better or equal to Jordan (yet) but I don't think it's out of the question in future. LBJ has many years left in the tank, let's see it play out. Either way we are witnessing a great right now.

If LeBron somehow pulls the Cavs to another title this year against the incredibly stacked unbackable favourites the Warriors I really doubt we continue to have this conversation. I lived through both eras but would have to concede there are two E-GOATs (Equal GOATs).

Dennis Rodman was arguably the single most valuable player in NBA history, so he certainly had more than Pippen. He also didn't have to beat super teams, either.

Has anyone arguing that the eye test shows Jordan's clear superiority actually watched him play in the last ten years? And I don't mean his best games that are available on DVD and whatever other archival availability there is for the NBA, I mean his run-of-the-mill regular season nothing-interesting-happened games. The ones you forget about when you're making the comparison with LeBron.

Any time you argue for the eye test, you're essentially comparing what is probably something a little above Jordan's absolute peak, against LeBron's average. And that's if you don't have any subconscious bias causing you to weight LeBron's poorer perfomances more heavily than is reasonable.

LBJ has won rings with Love/Irving and Bosh/Wade, Jordan only really had Pippen. Super teams didnt exist back then.

I'm a fan of both of them. I think they're both specail athletes that we've been blessed to see play. But they are different players and played in different eras, so to compare them is difficult and a bit pointless, IMHO!

In any case, if you are going to list 'facts' to support your opinion/argument, it pays to get them right.

Lovebroker if he did four years of college he would be 36 so that's where the question lies would he match MJ/Kareem if so. A fair point to make.

Of course MJ is the best and I don't think anyone is arguing against it, only young kids who didn't see him think otherwise (kobe lol).

I think it is crazy to summarily dismiss LBJ's achievement because no college.

I'm not going into who is the GOAT discussion as it is so up to personal perception, but to reach this milestone is very special. Not only do you have to be very good, you have to be actually on teams that constantly are in the playoffs, DEEP in the playoffs. And you have to be injury free....all these moons have to align.

I always feel that any person who attempts to hoist LBJ above MJ based on stats obviously never had the opportunity to watch MJ during his day, if they did there would be no debate.

Love him or hate him, when LBJ retires we will all be thankful we had the chance to see him play during his prime and will reflect the same way we do about any other previous great and HOF, but I don't think there's a point in attempting to compare who is "better".

Always was and always will be MJ.

True I just don't like these points stats comparisons when LeBron has +4 years on everyone due to no college.

Lebron is as good as MJ, not better but as good, still loved magic though.

James, a 14-year veteran, is seventh in regular-season scoring with 28,787 points. Abdul-Jabbar, who played 18 seasons, is first in regular-season scoring with 38,387 points.

Three awards were awarded at tonight's Hahn Super Dry MVP Awards Night, which took place at the Hotel Grand Chancellor on Hindley Street.

It was a great night attended by 250 people including players and partners, 36ers Dancers, the club, partners of the club and members.

The three awards awarded were Best Club Person, Best Defensive Player and of course, the Most Valuable Player from the 36ers squad 2010/2011.

The Best Club Person was awarded to the team's manager, Jared Kimber for the third year in a row for his hard dedication to the club in many areas.

Best Defensive Player went to Jacob Holmes for his leadership on the defensive end of the floor averaging just under 7 rebounds per game for the season.

And the most prestigious award, the Most Valuable Player, award went to captain Adam Ballinger for the fourth year in a row. Ballinger averaged 15.3 points at 54.2%, 6 rebounds and 1.9 blocks per game in 27 minutes per game.
