Former Blaze guard Ayinde Ubaka has hosed down talk he was looking for a return to the Glitter Strip, saying he has no idea where the rumours started.

The man known to NBL fans as "Chewy" scoffed at rumours he would be rejoining Joey Wright's men from the Cairns Taipans next season. But he said he would not totally close the door on a return, with the life of an NBL import too tenuous to lock out any options.

Not much more here, but full story regardless

Probably nothing in it, but I see these sorts of things and wonder how often it's started by the player or agent trying to push along negotiations with another club (in this case Cairns).
