have any of you ever been to these comps, actually seen and talked to the players and the staff from these countries....they have nothing, absolutley nothing in most cases, not even shoes for their feet, the governments supply most of them, they train on outdoor courts with makeshift rings in some cases and then its only after these kids have walked miles to get there.
Yes some of them have facilities, some like Tahiti and Guam, but they do not take basketball seriously, they have so many other areas that these kids spend time doing. They are coming up against athletes, yes athletes, that live and breathe the sport, most at the C of E where its their primary focus, no family life, daily chores, travel, just basic school and then basketball all day long. What do you expect and even competition, hell this is like sending the boomers and Opals to play the church social darts team

No team can shoot at 4% at expect to be competitive at this level .........time for Marshall Islands to have a good long hard look at themselves.

There has got to be a better way to do this , qualify two teams that play against Australia and NZ in a contest that someone gets something out of it.
Watched some of the girls game and a good club team would have beaten Tahiti.

Shelley and Simons are probably in camp for u19s. I'm guessing that's why they were replaced.
Boys team looks strong. I wonder who they will add cone next year.
Green and maker would be good.

Selections were weird in the first place anyway. Several boys that performed better than those selected were passed over.
