Caught me, I'm a parent.
My kid is the best in the world and everyone else is beneath him/her
He or she is a combination of Jordan, Lebron, Curry.
Don't need a camp of 18. Just send my son/daughter by his/herself and he/she will bring the gold home.

Anonymous
Years ago

haha yes, standard response when they are campaigning on their kids' agenda and you call them out

Anonymous
Years ago

^^^^ That's what every parent hides behind

Anonymous
Years ago

Wrong... just a fan.
Others may be parents of cut kids but I am not one of them.

Anonymous
Years ago

Same people complaining about not having tryouts would be same that would complain when their kids got cut from said tryouts.

Anonymous
Years ago

If you take the COE kids from the list who are auto locks, you'll have plenty of room to add more players.

Anonymous
Years ago

18 players down to 12.

They should be taking more than that into camp these days.
Around 30 for a country our size.

Hopefully it changes before next years worlds.

Years ago

At the end of the day it's junior sports, so nothing is perfect with selections. It's not like they have an army of NBA calibre scouts across the nation watching. Remember we are a large country area wise.

Anonymous
Years ago

A couple of players not chosen in both boys and girls I thought would be in the starting 5. Or at least the first person off the bench.

Anonymous
Years ago

The process is flawed, BA developes great players and they make state teams but are not considered.
I could put some of them against the current squad and they would smash them.
It shows that the selectors have no idea of the talent that is available. That's why tryouts.
We all have ideas but some of the selections listed for the team mean that they also have no idea.

Anonymous
Years ago

Can't believe that the vic m pf kid didn't make it from last year.

Also surprised at the number of 02 players chosen.

Anonymous
Years ago

I agree, plenty of good players have been left out

Anonymous
Years ago

I think they should have tryouts also.

Bring in a 20 player camp and have the best 4 in Each position.
Let them go head to head in a different environment under the Australian coaches system not the state coaches.

Anonymous
Years ago

That's right, if you don't make a State Team , you wont make the National Team!

Anonymous
Years ago

When have their even been tryouts for national teams??

Anonymous
Years ago

like everyone.
They've got there own opinion of who should be there.
Seebohm and schueller obviously thought differently.

I agree with you though. Her and the girl from vic c should be in the 18.

Anonymous
Years ago

Interesting that the boys squad will be in the middle of the pack in terms of height.

China, Korea, Phillipines and the middle eastern countries are all bigger than us.

Anonymous
Years ago

That's because they were all bottom agers.
Born 02.

The Asian champs are for players born 01 and 02

The players for u16 qld n and s last month were better than those in u18s this year or u16s last year?

Years ago

Qld teams = 2 x 1 man teams...apparently !!

How they both made the GF with those 1 man teams has got me beat??

Anonymous
Years ago

If you dont care, why are you on here?

I like to see Australia do well at any level.
Well done too those kids who made it. Best of luck in making the final squad.

The boys will have a much tougher competition as the tournament has 16 teams compared to only 8 in the girls.

Years ago

"Who cares"

These parents on here do. Living their shattered dreams through their kids.

Anonymous
Years ago

Who cares, it's u/16's

Anonymous
Years ago

Fair enough.
Will be a good team for Asia.

Underage players are not to be named on here, yet you lot are now hovering dangerously close to it with initials. Leave the kids alone ffs.

Anonymous
Years ago

Exactly who I was thinking of.

Years ago

I'm not sure which group are more out of control on this website: A.) Parents or B.) Wildcats fans. Either way get over yourselves!

Jackson/Adebayo/Meakes
Tsapatolis/Crowe

Heal/Poa
Palmer/Riley/Melbourne
Nnopu/Potter
