NBL 17/18 Import Tracker

Interesting insight.

They could easily get a SEABL spec import i would imagine?

Hmmm come to think of it, I could be wrong. The minimum NBL salary in 17/18 is $45,000 inc. super so its quite possible the Kings could still scrounge up $100kish for that last spot.

PR talk. Reality is most likely having to comply with 5 players salary not exceeding 40% of the Cap floor and urgent need to minimize Lisch's and Newley's salary cap impact via the Marquee player designation (teams can have a total of 4 restricted or marquee players, i.e. each marquee beyond the first will come at the expense of a restricted roster spot).

We can only speculate what those two are paid but we can know for certain that if JVG utilizes that designation, only $350,000 of both players' salaries will count towards the Cap.

I wonder who the 5 players that will make up the 40% squad: Thoseby, Garlepp, Pineau, Cadee and that last player? I don't think Humphries and Blanchfield would come cheap...

You can deduce that the salary of that last player would probably not enough to attract an import.
