Ili being injured as well as Timmins/Delany being sick influenced the result. NZ would've still lost but I think it would've been a closer contest. But this result was as expected as the ABs beating the Wallabies.

This one's for DJ Rod, any chance the Crocs would look at signing Jacob Holmes as a back up for Hinder at the 4 and go with an import 2/3 instead? He brings the defence and rebounding that we need in that spot like Boucher, Ellis etc without using an import spot. We don't really need him to be a big scorer. Any news on backup pg?

A devastating 31-10 opening term had the Tall Blacks on the back foot all game and from their were never seriously threatened. Matt Hodgson led six Boomers in scoring double figures, with 15 points on 7-of-9 shooting with 6 rebounds and 2 blocks. Jason Cadee, Mitch Creek and Daniel Kickert all had 13 points each, while Nick Kay delivered an 11 point and 10 rebound double-double.

I've lost count of how many comments on here reflected serious misunderstanding of strength of FIBA Asia but this one takes the cake since the tourney is nearly over so you had the benefit of seeing the status quo. Well done.
