More teams to follow DV and leave Big V for SEABL
Knox would be next. With Ringwood, Waverly and Eltham sitting back and watching how DV go.
They’d have to weigh up If going to they level really helps their program. Some still producing state, wnbl/nbl players so why the need to head to seabl.

Reading lots of rumors about the BigV and SEABL at the moment, think I will wait and see what factual comments come out before entertaining this discussion more prominently.

Ringwood and Eltham have been talking to SEABL for a while now working towards a future entry.
I hear there is also a team in QLD looking to go from QBL to SEABL for 2019. Is it Cairns?

Knox was only ever a 3 year agreement for Big V and had an agreed re-entry into SEABL for 2019. This is well known

So just how are they going to manage all these new teams entering if they are scrapping the two conferences and shortening the season, seems like a recipe for disaster
And how will the interstate teams feel about so many vic teams in the comp, the cost factor just with travelling will be significant

Problem at bigV wasn't the CEO ,her hands were tied . Her resignation surprised everyone at BV !

Not surprised to be reading this information.the big v is run by people who don't know what they are doing, the CEO has walked being being shoved,no doubt more to come if these comments are correct.

Eltham committed to SEABL 2019 switch

Eltham committed to SEABL 2019 switch

I bet Eltham hurry up and get moving now with DV now making the jump.

Knox are returning to SEABL in 2019 as they had an agreement to play Big V for 3 seasons, 2018 is the third and final one
Ringwood have been talking about SEABL for a little while now and are working through the process of moving.
Waverly and Eltham won't want to risk being left behind.

I can certainly see the frustrations from the top end of the league, lets not be ridiculous and take away a chance for junior clubs to have a pathway for their players.
Look at the model football has, every junior club has an affiliated senior club.
Yes, there is too much emphasis on the bottom end of the league BUT it is what a state league is all about... different divisions and standards.
(Mod: Legally questionable.

Sums up their mentaity when list of award nominees came out, lowest divisions at the top, state champ divisions at the bottom of the page.

Does anyone know when the fixtures for Lightning will be released? Some people seem to already know how many games there are, and the fact that there will be two regional games.....just wondered if anyone knows exact dates yet?
