So is hot head Carrera another version of Brian Conklin, will he win a league MVP or is he a poor man's Conklin ?
Will he throw elbows like Childress?
Being compared to Conklin and Childress, he sounds like a ripper

FYI, tickets were $30 for family (2 adults, 2 kids) or $12 for adult.
That's a much more reasonable price for a pre-season game compared to that for a non-member adult for the Illawarra Highway Robbers...

"dare I say the Perth bullies were running a little scared from the newby Carrera."
haha you idiot.. Martin had him locked up one end, and then Cotton was killing him down the other. Carrera had nothing other than dirty tactics

Carrera is an interesting prospect, personally I love what he brings, a little out of control but the kinda player who will sell tickets....he will have to adapt to the refs quickly otherwise he might not be here long.

Cheap as chips

It was all downhill for the Taipans after the first quarter.
Refs did their usual thing of making sure the fans knew they were there and also letting fresh imports know the show is about the refs and not the players.
There was a little hostility throughout the game which was actually great to see and dare I say the Perth bullies were running a little scared from the newby Carrera.
Carrera was a bit of a hot head but only because refs weren't in control of the game and let things get heated. Then they made some baffling decisions like how Wildcats were tech fouled after Carrera jumped on Martin. I could only conclude that it was a make up call for not calling the original foul on Martin which caused Carrera to retaliate.
Gleeson far too animated for a pre-season warmup, though I guess that is his practice for the real season too.
Perth ended up with the win though by about 10.

perhaps they could fax a xerox of the score sheet to us, or have they not got fax machines yet?

Aww man, I missed anons momma? That old lady is so cray cray and SO POOR, I saw her walking down the street kicking a can, I asked what she was doing, she said "movin'..." #Classics
Disappointed that there were no stats last night... Looks like they couldn't find that hamster... They started off well and had a photo of the quarter time sheet, but I didn't see any follow up shots? Even that would have been something...

Thr frequent Twitter updates are something, credit to them

To anyone going, updates would be nice

What's up with the Taipans Twitter today, spruiking the fact that there's a) no live and b) the fact that that gives people an exclusive on the Wildcats import.
Da fuk

Nice. What's the usual cost? I ain't no local

An excellent question; i’m Pre booked tonight and Saturday so I didn’t even bother to investigate cost. I imainge they’d be the usual fish tank costs.

How much are tickets, Podge?

lol... got to get that speciality hamster to run in the wheel to power it, Podge ;)
If we didn't have more spoons than Cairns, it would have been game on... But I will take the higher road... that is sealed, unlike the dirt tracks up there ;)

or Cairns' cabinet?
and yes it's a one-off game, not a preseason tournament like the Blitz or Merlion Cup so streaming isn't a guarantee.

also finding decent data speed in Cairns is much like trying to find a recent championship trophy in Sydney's cabinet....... ;) #ShotsFired.

Kings crew spoiling people for the last few years leading the way with streaming their games...
By all accounts, it takes a bit of dedication to get up and running, so if there isn't any team support or someone who already has the technical know-how, it's probably unrealistic to expect it from most teams... Hopefully they have a social media presence and share some clips if they have media people their filming on their phones...

Of course they do and nothing wrong with that, but it's a bit unrealistic for these one off random preseason games.

Is it bad that fans want to see their team's pre-season games?

Taipans confirmed on twitter the game will not be streamed.

Brisbane , according to Nagy , will host this pre-season blitz , if it can be arranged prior to NBL Season start.
NBL is keen on Brisbane doing it and coming back into the league.
Although Brisbane spartans are now a feeder team for one of the Qld teams. I disremember which one.
While only yesterday. they released Cortez Groves
averaging 14points , is insufficient.
