#1 - I think Chris thought the following rule was in play:
"31.2.4. Interference occurs when:
A defensive player touches the ball or the basket while the ball is within the basket, thus preventing the ball from passing through the basket."
The ball doesn't appear to have actually passed through the basket yet, but goaltending/interference is possibly the most difficult call to make accurately in real time.
#2 - He must have thought that Mika went out of his way to trip Martin. The replay shows otherwise and he shouldn't have called it unless it was obvious, but it's far from the worst call of its kind this season.
