Was at the game last night.

A couple of things -

Havnt seen the replay but it looked like Homicide was chewing Heals ear off about something?

Gaze went with Singh far too long into the second half. He a couple of nice things but gave them away plus more in being murdered on the pick and roll.

The last when when he double Wesley to give Majok an easy dunk was the last straw BUT he should have been off the court by then.

The demener of Gaze V Vickerman was very apparent. Although Gaze has improved since last year, he still rides every possession far too emotionally.

Vickerman on the other hand holds his cool even when there's a bad turnover or breakdown on D.

Gaze still has to get better at that.

United won by not doing anything spectacular, more the Kings couldn't exucute down the stretch.

Kings looking much better, Randle could make a huge difference. Singh looked good and is at least 2 inches taller than Humphries, Humphries don't look 7 foot to me. Blanchfield at the two was much better, Tyler will be good, don't rule Kings out just yet.

United really got going there in the second half

Don't write off Sydney though. With United -4 in 3rd and Adelaide, Illawarra and Cairns all 4-5 in 4th-6th, Sydney at 2-7 isn't far off the pace.

So Adelaide were 3-6 after 9 games last season and went 14-5 to finish top. So Sydney can make playoffs from here. They have to play 10 of their remaining games against the current top 4 teams and 4 against Cairns (which means 2 of those will be in Cairns). Tough ask.

So when does Gaze get the flick?

Expected the Kings to go down tonight so no surprises there, but at least Tyler looked OK in short mins with no prep. Need to go 13-6 over the remaining games to probably make the playoffs which is possible although a hell of a mountain to climb all the same in this league.

I might sound like a broken record, but it's vintage Blanchfield tonight.

Kings another 4th quarter implosion. Minimal movement. Lacking awareness of where teammates will be. No rotations or help on D. Passes to where the recipient was, not is/is moving to.

Blanchfield may not be a natural 4, but all that time at the 4 spot has got him has certainly got him passing the ball like one...

Not sure what the 'Tommy is a good defender' myth started from. Tommy has always given 100% effort, but he is a tweener on defense and always has been - gets beat off the dribble by wings, and out-muscled by 4s.
